In this census taken June 16th Catherina and her second husband John Menssen have John's son Henry W. 26 yrs, Hilda 25 yrs, and Biebolt 22 yrs living at home on the farm. John is listed as a Farmer with his son Henry and Biebolt working the farm with him. Catherine has indicated they have been married for 29 years, this is not correct. They were married in 1882, so someone was not providing accurate data for some reason. She also indicates she is the mother of 0 children born and 0 children living which for this marriage would be correct but not for how many children she has actually born in her lifetime since she was also married to Charles F. Hagemeyer might possibly be by a previous wife for which we have no information.They indicate they have been married for 28 years and that their house is owned free of mortgage.
