Note William Lapham II:
He grew to adulthood and fell into a melancholy state of mind and took his own life by hanging himself in a tree. (Augustas Lapham account)

Notes on John Colvin:
John Colvin first of record in Providence, RI in the year 1705, when he purchased upwards of four thousand acres of land. Little is known of his life however. He made subsequent purchases of land in Providence and vicinity and is thought to have been a farmer on a large scale. The whole family seems to have settled at first at a place then called Meshantatuck ( now called Meshanticut) and which was afterward included in the town of Cranston ( now a city). From this point many of the descendants moved farther west and south. John Jr. And family brought a certificate from Providence to the town of Scituate on 3 sept. 1745.
